eBusinessClubs evolved out of discussions between the DTI/Small Business Service and the British Chambers of Commerce to help businesses understand how to use Information Technology and the Internet more effectively in order to maximise business benefits. In Scotland, eBusinessClubs are co-ordinated through the Scottish Chambers of Commerce and presently offer events through the Chambers of Commerce in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The rationale of the programme was to create a club that was free to join, where there would be regular events highlighting eBusiness best practice. Members benefit from access to regular events, free impartial advice, regular email updates, networking opportunities, online communities of contacts and information from leading IT industry experts from both the public and private sectors.

Our desire is twofold: first of all to help Scottish small and medium size businesses to gain the best value from the efficient set-up and use of their existing Information Technology and applications and then to help you to become more informed buyers and users of the technology that is loosely described as eBusiness or eCommerce.
